Unit4 Launches Marketplace of Tools for its ERP Customers

Unit4 has launched a marketplace featuring tools that can be added to its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.

The new Unit4 Marketplace showcases apps from the company’s independent software vendor (ISV), reseller and service partners and makes it easy for its ERP customers to find ways to extend the functionality of their enterprise cloud stack, the company said in a Tuesday (Jan. 17) press release.

“The launch of Unit4’s Marketplace demonstrates our commitment to a highly networked and connected product and partner ecosystem and will offer both customers and partners a central hub to find and deploy new functionality,” Unit4 CEO Mike Ettling said in the release. “Now that it is launched, we look forward to expanding the Marketplace and welcoming more partners to join this global community.”

PYMNTS research has found that effective ERP integration will rely on application programming interfaces (APIs) to use timely data and access the entire system’s functionality.

These APIs allow companies to boost the interoperability of their systems and those of their clients, improving remittance details and back-end operations, according to the “ERP Solutions in B2B Payments Tracker®,” a PYMNTS and American Express collaboration.

Most organizations may not fully realize the full potential of ERPs, but the use of third-party API integrations can vastly improve operational metrics, meaning a faster, more efficient and less costly B2B payments system will not be far behind, the report said.

The Unit4 Marketplace will launch with nine of the company’s partners and 45 offerings and is expected to grow each quarter, according to the press release.

The solutions will be visible to customers through this single storefront in which the offerings can be filtered by vertical, region or function, the release said.

“We are very pleased to be a part of Unit4’s Marketplace and the opportunities it presents, and it is a modern way to offer value-add solutions to both existing and new customers,” Arribatec Business Services Executive Vice President Tom Vandezande said in the release. “Being one of the first partners to release an application in the marketplace demonstrates our commitment to Unit4, and we will continue to develop more add-ons that can benefit their customers’ business transformation journeys.”
