Top Competitors Hold Their Spots in Monthly Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps

State Farm App

Insurance providers are all about managing risk. In this month’s edition of the PYMNTS Provider Rankings of Insurance Apps, the leaders are managing risk by sitting right where they were last month.

A little further down in the rankings, though, there has been some movement since last time. No new apps have joined the top 10, but several of the existing competitors have switched seats.

The Top Five

In the top spot, we still have the long-running tie between Geico and Progressive

The second-ranking spot is held by the competitor who had it last time, State Farm.

Allstate Mobile remains at No. 3, but this month the app has this spot all to itself.

The app that slipped just one level from that spot is USAA Mobile, which moved down to the fourth ranking.

That eased Liberty Mutual Mobile out of that placement and into the No. 5 spot.

The Top 10

There’s a little more action in the second tier of the top 10, with several apps moving up or down in the rankings and only one remaining where it was.

Ranked sixth, as it was last month, is Jerry: Car Insurance.

Lemonade Insurance, on the other hand, slid two spots since last month and is now resting at No. 7.

Heading in the other direction, Safeco Mobile advanced two spots in the rankings and is now at No. 8.

Making room for the others, Farmers Insurance Mobile moved down two spots and is now sitting in the ninth spot.

It has to share that seat, though, as Travelers Mobile stepped down one spot and is now tied for ninth.

Rounding out the top 10 is Esurance Mobile, which moved one spot lower in the rankings, remaining among this elite group and closing out this month’s edition of the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps.
