Carol Realini is the entrepreneur behind Obopay which has allowed customers to send and receive money through mobile phone SMS since 2005. Carol came out of retirement to pursue this opportunity in payments after traveling around the world and realizing the shift toward mobile.
Obopay was born out of an opportunity to use mobile phones to exchange money and extend beyond the traditional bank branch model. This has brought Carol and Obopay to the forefront of innovation in payments. With a continued focus on technology, Obopay is also drawing attention to building relationships to take their services to a larger number of consumers and prove to be what’s next in payments.
