Bango’s Revenues Fall 20%, Annual Losses Near £1M

Revenues at Bango were down roughly 20 percent in the mobile payment company’s most recent fiscal year, while after-tax losses increased a similar amount, to nearly £1 million, according to an official earnings release.

Bango lets consumers pay for purchases by billing them directly to their mobile carrier accounts.

On the plus side, the company says it “connected to in excess of 900 million consumers” in its recent fiscal year (ended March 31), providing service in 90 different countries. And its most recent results do not reflect new agreements reached with Amazon and Facebook.
