Barclays Takes Over ING Direct UK

ING has announced that it has reached an agreement to sell ING Direct UK’s online banking operations to Barclays in a move that will leave the Dutch outfit with a more than $400 million post-tax loss, according to Finextra. Barclays will gain 1.5 million new customers through the deal.
