    The Sixpack was supposed to bring an NFC payment system to the Netherlands, but the three carriers and two banks blamed developments in the market for making it too complex and too slow for the partners to bring their solution to market.

    All parties stated that while they will continue to work on introducing mobile payments, they have decided to follow their own paths.
