FBI Arrests 24 for Card Fraud, Wrapping Up Two-Year Investigation

Two dozen fraudsters situated across the globe were arrested for credit card fraud by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation this week.

By attracting criminals to its own shop, the FBI says it prevented more than 400,000 compromised cards from being hijacked for $205 million in damages, Finextra reports. This week’s arrests come at the culmination of a two-year investigation by the FBI, internally referred to as “Operation Card Shop.”
