MasterCard And Telefônica Partner For Mobile Payments In Brazil

MasterCard and the Telefônica Group have partnered to launch MFS – a company that will develop mobile payment solutions in Brazil. The company’s first product will be a pre-paid account accessed via mobile phones alongside a MasterCard card, letting consumers transfer cash to other people, make in-store purchases, refill their phones and carry out other financial transactions. It is set to launch in April 2013.
