Square has hired Alyssa Cutright away from PayPal, where Cutright served as Vice President of Products for North America, AllThingsD reports.
A 12-year veteran at PayPal, Cutright has been hired to help Square expand in international markets, and will become Vice President of International for the firm.
Since breaking the story, PayPal has provided a statement to AllThingsD.
“Although Alyssa held a product role with PayPal, she was not involved in the creation or launch of PayPal Here. PayPal Here was created by a central global product team led by David Marcus and Hill Ferguson,” it said.
