Uber Brings Back NYC Surge Pricing, But Won’t Take Fees

Uber has announced they’re reinstating their surge pricing rates for New York City taxis, but will not take its customary 20 percent fee, reports Tech Crunch.

    Uber initially installed surge pricing in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, but was met with widespread public condemnation. After returning to regular prices briefly, Uber is now reinstating surge pricing in an attempt to get more vehciles on the road.
