77% Of Consumers Willing To Share Data For Good Deals

A new study shows that a majority of consumers are willing to share locational data in return for a worthwhile offer or deal, mobile marketing platform provider Swirl Networks reported in a December 13 press release.

According to the company’s survey data, 77 percent of consumers say that a good deal is worth sharing potentially sensitive location data.

Sixty-five percent of consumers are more likely to share this information with their favorite retailer. Another 67 percent have received shopping alerts on their smartphone after enabling locational promotion.
