Gemalto, a global digital security provider, announced on Monday that they would be teaming up with Barclaycard Germany to provide complete end-to-end solutions for their entire product portfolio, the company announced in a press release.
The multi-year agreement will require Gemalto to provide solutions that will include more personalization and involvement from the local service center in Germany. The migration will represent over 40 credit products and three debit products for Barclaycard Germany.
Barclaycard is a member of the global Barclays banking group, and a new partnership with Gemalto represents an opportunity to improve their payment services and solutions. Gemalto will also be deploying a contactless payment technology for Barclaycard Germany products.
Tim Martens, head of business development for Barclaycard Germany, said, “Gemalto is a preferred partner for the Barclays Group and we are confident that Gemalto will provide us good support for our growth aspirations in the German market.”
Gemalto has contributed to global digital security solutions. Some of Gemalto’s services include providing mobile services, payment security, identity and privacy protection and more.
“Just as Barclaycard UK has done for many years, the German office is trusting Gemalto to deliver the benefits of EMV-protected payment to their customers,” said Christoph Siegelin, vice president of sales for financial services and retail at Gemalto.
Martens concluded, “There is a strong belief across all functions that we will benefit from the international experience and the global service model as well.”
