Bitcoin value has plummeted amid a technical glitch that led to a major sell off on bitcoin exchange MT.Gox.
An upgrade in Mt.Gox software led to a suspension in transactions, which caused bitcoins to lose nearly a third of their value, dropping to under $37, reports Finextra. Once the problem was resolved, the currency rebounded to a price of $44 from its starting point of $48.
