Chirpify Pushes PayPal Aside For Direct Payments Processing

Social CommerceIn-stream social commerce platform Chirpify is introducing direct payments processing, the company announced yesterday. Chirpify will accept credit and debit card payments, as well as send and accept ACH payments through its in-stream commenting system.

    Chirpify previously relied exclusively on PayPal to process its payments, but says its processing payments directly in an attempt to lower fees.

    “With direct payment processing we are making the transaction as frictionless as possible for consumers, eliminating the need to connect with another payment platform outside of Chirpify,” said CEO Chris Teso. “For brands, the direct payment acceptance lowers fees by eliminating the need for a third party, and enables wider acceptance beyond just PayPal.”
