Facebook is redesigning its Gifts platform and will stop selling physical gifts, TechCrunch reported on August 23.
The social networking giant will push virtual gift codes and “omni-Gift Card credit,” which TechCrunch notes comprised 80 percent of all sales through Gifts.
In addition to shifting away from physical gifts, Facebook Gifts’ redesign will see each retailer receive a physical landing page and will put an increased emphasis on recommendations as well.
