GE Capital is teaming up with 2degrees for an NFC mobile wallet trial that allows its New Zealand customers to load GE credit cards onto their Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, a press release revealed on November 4.
Gemalto is also taking part in the trial, and will monitor and assess feedback from users. More than 10,000 contactless terminals are available at New Zealand merchants, including major names such as Kmart and BP.
