Javelin: Online Market Faces Increased Fraud Risk

A new report from Javelin Strategy and Research has predicted that the online market will become a bigger target for fraud by 2017 because of the U.S. EMV transition.

    Javelin said it expects card-not-present transactions to be the biggest target by 2017. The research firm also expects that traditional password authentication will be rendered obsolete, as merchants adopt more advanced techniques for stopping theft.
