Lyft Takes Off In San Diego

Popular ridesharing company Lyft launched operations in San Diego on July 3, TechCrunch reports. San Diego is the sixth market Lyft has started service in since it launched last year.

    The media outlet suggested that its a smart move for the young company due to the relatively low number of taxis serving the city’s populace. 

    In addition to its home city of San Francisco and this new announcement, Lyft is operating in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and Boston. Rival Uber is also offering services in San Diego.
