MasterCard Provides “Cash on Tap” For UK Customers

Everything Everywhere, a UK network operator, announced a new partnership with MasterCard to roll out a contactless mobile payments scheme dubbed, “Cash on Tap,” reported Finextra. The mobile payments service will allow customers to make payments up to £20 in over 230,000 stores across the UK. Many stores in the country are now accepting NFC payments, including Greggs, McDonald’s, Boots, Marks and Spencer and several more.

    Users who seek to use “Cash on Tap” must download the app from the Google Play store, and link their mobile wallet with a UK debit or credit card. EE announced that customers will receive a £5 credit upon activation along with an additional £5 reward when they top up money for the first time.
