MICROS Unveils Omnichannel Commerce Platform

MICROS Systems, a Maryland-based developer of point-of-sale software, has launched its new MICROS Commerce Platform (MCP). The single commerce engine is designed to allow digital consumers in the hospitality, restaurant and retail industries the ability to interact directly with on-premise systems through multiple channels.

    “Utilizing the connected omnichannel model employed by leading retail organizations around the world, the introduction of MCP marks the first time local, content and eCommerce systems have fully integrated in the hospitality space,” the company said in a press statement.

    MCP can take smartphone orders, distribute hotel keys and reserve restaurant seating by integrating with existing on-premise systems.
