MoneyGram acquired Latino Services on July 8 in a move that increases the number of the remittance company’s locations. Latino Services specializes in sending remittances from the United States to Mexico, and serves consumers in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
“We’re working to bring added value and convenience to those we serve – to provide consumers with the ability to transfer funds any place, any time and in the most efficient and secure way possible,” Pete Ohser, MoneyGram’s senior vice president, told the source.
Before the purchase, MoneyGram had stores in Miami and New York City. The Latino Services purchase will give it 10 new stores in the Atlanta area.
