PayPal Here, the Chip & PIN solution for SMB merchants, has arrived in the UK, reported Finextra. PayPal Here aims to help businesses that previously relied on cash and check payments in the UK. These businesses include taxi drivers, tradesmen, café merchants and more.
Merchants seeking to integrate PayPal Here need only download the app, order the card reader and connect via Bluetooth. After completing these stages, merchants can begin accepting payments immediately.
Narik Patel, Director of Mobile Merchant Services, PayPal UK, said: “A dedicated team based in Richmond has been working on PayPal Here for over a year now. It’s been entirely designed to suit the needs of British businesses. SMBs don’t want the commitment of monthly fees and contracts for a card reader but being able to take card payments can make a big difference to their business.”
