Mobile ordering constitutes the largest share of Pizza Hut’s ordering traffic. An estimated 50 percent of Pizza Hut’s total digital orders come via mobile.

The company’s director of public relations, Doug Terfehr, cited the successful launches of its new app and mobile site as the primary driver behind consumer interest in mobile ordering.

“[The growth in mobile can be attributed] to the convenience of ordering via a mobile device and the broader adoption of this experience among consumers, along with the launch of the new site and apps,” he told Mobile Commerce Daily. “We’ve seen a significant increase in orders since then.”
