Rakuten.com Shopping Partners ReD For Fraud Prevention

Earlier this year, Rakuten.com Shopping garnered industry attention when it rebranded from its original moniker, Buy.com, and on Tuesday, the California-headquarted company announced another change.

    According to a press release, global fraud prevention provider ReD will grant its protective services to the eCommerce company’s website for the next five years.

    “ReD understands our business,” Rakuten.com Shopping’s president, Roger Andelin, said in a statement. “They are flexible and had us up and running in just a few weeks. We’ve already seen a dip in our operational expenses and feel confident that we can now sustain a fun and entertaining buying experience for our customers.”

    Under the terms of the agreement, ReD’s primary objective will be to help the company lessen the time and cost investment associated with the site’s manual reviews.
