Britain’s UK Royal Mint announced the launch of its first £20 coin, but revealed only 250,000 coins have been made thus far, reported The Telegraph. The new coin follows the launch of the £5 coin, which sold out in only five days. The Royal Mint expects that the £20 coin will also sell out quickly.
The coin is designed with St. George and the Dragon. UK consumers can only buy the £20 coin through the Royal Mint website.
“We hope this new coin will spark a future love of coin collecting amongst young and old alike and a greater number of people get to appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into producing all of our nation’s coins,” said Shane Bissett, the director of commemorative coins at the Royal Mint.
