Sony, Boku Offer Mobile Billing For UK PlayStation, Sony Entertainment Network

Sony announced it has teamed up with Boku to provide mobile carrier billing services for UK PlayStation and Sony Entertainment Network customers, reported The Next Web. Sony will use Boku’s billing platform to facilitate payments that help customers save time. Boku’s system eliminates the need to submit credit card numbers at the online checkout.

    The partnership will allow UK customers who are purchasing services or products from the PlayStation Store and Sony Entertainment with just their mobile phone number. They will be able to buy movies, games, music, apps and more that will be added on to the users’ mobile phone bill. The new billing service will be available for all major networks in the UK.

    Users can top-up their Wallet on the Sony Entertainment Network account management website or click the “Mobile” payment option on the PlayStation store. A SMS text will be sent for confirmation.
