Square Market Launches To Help Local Businesses Sell Online

MPOS and mobile wallet provider Square has launched Square Market, a new digital marketplace where local businesses can sell products, The Next Web reports.

Square Market’s main focus is on letting local businesses sell goods throughout the U.S.

“Creating an online marketplace is our next step in making commerce easy for everyone,” Ajit Varma, Square’s Director of Discovery, said. “Square Market makes local businesses accessible to customers down the block and across the country.”

Merchants are able to enroll for free in Square Market. Square then charges a 2.75 percent fee per transaction.
