Study: SMBs Afraid To Charge Big Firms Late Payments

A newly released study by the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) has found that 80 percent of SMBs are not charging interest on late payments owed by larger firms, the Irish Independent reported on October 7.

The study indicated that the reason for this trend is that smaller firms are afraid to lose bigger companies to competitors. However, it further revealed that 30 percent of SMBs are waiting three months or more for payments.
