SumUp Signs First Irish Telecom To Provide mPayments

SumUp, a Europe-based mobile payments provider, announced a new partnership with Irish cloud telephony company, Blueface, to provide payment solutions for merchants, reported Finextra. This is the first Irish telecommunications company that SumUp has agreed to partner with.

Together the companies will offer businesses a single package service that provides mobile, landline and payments solutions. Businesses and traders will attach a small device to their smartphone, which allows them to process credit card payments. The companies claim that smaller trades such as taxi services and artisans will benefit from this service the most, since mobile payments can be completed immediately.

Blueface CEO, Alan Foy, commented, “Our aim at Blueface is to help businesses cut costs and maximize efficiency by supplying cost-effective and innovative solutions for business communications. We are delighted to further add to our business offering through our partnership with SumUp and we hope that our customers will find the device to be a positive addition to our business offering.”
