Don Mattrick, the former head of Microsoft’s gaming and entertainment efforts, will become Zynga’s CEO, a press release indicates. The announcement came at on Monday afternoon. Sources had previously hinted that the deal could be finalized by the day’s end.
The move comes amid a series of bad publicity for Zynga, which has been dethroned as the top publisher of casino games.
