CurdBee Closes Its Online Invoicing Doors

The online invoicing application CurdBee recently announced that it was no longer accepting sign-ups, and is instead urging customers toward Hiveage, which is a cloud-based billing platform.

According to a Hiveage statement, CurdBee was aimed at small business owners and freelancers. However, CurdBee was the foundation, said Hiveage CEO Lankitha Wimalarathna. The future is Hiveage though, and Wimalarathna explained that new users who want an e-invoicing solution should sign up for Hiveage.

The company statement said that Hiveage currently offers almost all of CurdBee’s existing features, such as the ability to send invoices and estimates, as well as track time and expenses. Hiveage will also reportedly offer new gateways, which means that freelancers and SMEs can now accept payments in a variety of different ways.

More businesses are looking for strong e-invoicing options. Just last month PYMNTS.com discussed a survey from Research and Markets that predicted the global e-Invoicing market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 23.3 percent through 2018. According to the report, businesses wanting to automate their invoicing process and reduce operational costs are the major drivers behind the anticipated e-invoicing growth.
