Picomo Pay and MoneyGram are teaming up to allow U.S. users to easily transfer money through PicomoPay’s Facebook application to approximately 336,000 MoneyGram locations in more than 200 countries.
“The opportunity to have a relationship with PicomoPay furthers our goal of accelerating the growth of our self-service channels,” said Alex Hoffmann, MoneyGram executive vice president Global Product & Emerging Channels, in a released statement. “By working with a company that has already succeeded in monetizing social media, we are giving our consumers innovative options to send money for life’s essentials, however they want, wherever that want, whenever they want.”
Picomo Pay in an independent mPay platform that is integrated through Facebook. Its main function is to allow P2P fund transfers among FB users and to allow gift cards to be sent through the social media service.
