    The device, which can be affixed to a Verifone POS reader, is easily attached and detached, and reads the keys entered by users. Consumers who swipe their cards run the risk of having their credit card information stolen, as the device can recognize and save key-presses.

    The media outlet indicates that the device is “virtually indistinguishable” from the unaltered POS reader, posing an additional problem for merchants.
