The International Maine Purchasing Association (IMPA) launched a responsible supply chain management initiative called the IMPA Act in 2013. Last week, integrated ship management service provider Thome Ship Management was named the first ship management company to have joined the initiative.
According to Marine Link, IMPA is for to the global shipping sector, and organizations join as members of the program. Members then work together – using the program’s tools – with their suppliers to manage their social, economic and environmental impacts.
Moreover, IMPA offers ship owners and managers a complete management system for responsible supply chain management.
