U.S. Bancorp Details New Instant-Banking App

The bank previously outlined the app in a YouTube video, which showed how consumers may use Peri to make quick purchases online.

The app will make mCommerce simpler for consumers, Dominic Venture, U.S. Bank chief innovation officer for payments, told American Banker in a Feb. 3 interview.

“Don’t think of us as a bank,” Venturo said. “Think of us as commerce. We are experts in payments and enable commerce.”

While the bank has not released full details about the app, American Banker reported that the platform will allow space for clickable advertisements and features an integrated payment system.
