Visa Europe Reports Rise In Contactless Payments

Contactless Visa payments in Europe have grown dramatically, rising to more than 94.3 million purchases in 2013 from just less than 25 million a year earlier, Finextra reported March 13.

    “We’ve seen impressive growth across the board on the amount of Visa contactless cards within the UK and the overall purchases and spend,” said Sandra Alzetta, Visa Europe executive director.
