Listen Labs helps companies better understand their customers, according to the company’s website. The firm helps brands design the study, reach the right people among its global network of 50 million participants, interview at scale via an AI moderator, deliver meaningful results and compound their learnings by building on past reports, per the site.
Listen Labs was valued at $500 million in a financing round earlier this year, according to the Wednesday report by Business Insider.
When Listen Labs announced the January Series B in which it raised $100 million, the company said that it launched nine months earlier, interviewed more than 1 million people during its first nine months and was providing customer feedback to companies like Microsoft, Sweetgreen and Perplexity.
“At Listen, our mission is to ensure every important decision starts with real people, not guesses,” the company said at the time in a blog post. “That’s why we’ve built the world’s fastest research platform, so every company can access what people want and why. Upload your idea, get it in front of everyone who matters, and a few hours later you have answers that help you move faster on product, market and growth.”
Salesforce announced in June that it was set to acquire AI customer service platform Fin for $3.6 billion. The company said the deal would give it access to Fin’s AI agent that is designed to resolve complex customer queries across channels including live chat, email, WhatsApp, SMS, phone and Slack.
Also in June, Salesforce said it agreed to acquire m3ter, a metering and rating platform that is purpose-built for consumption-based monetization. The company said this acquisition would bring high-volume mediation, metering and rating capabilities natively to its Agentforce Revenue Management. Salesforce later announced that it completed this acquisition on July 1.
