Airbase, QuickBooks Integrate To Streamline Accounting

Spend-management platform Airbase will be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop, a press release said Tuesday (Aug. 10), to help automate the company spend and the general ledger workflow.

Through the integration, businesses will shorten their month-end close with automatic data syncing, produce reports using real-time data and possibly save time and minimize errors by reducing the amount of manual data entry needed.

Airbase’s solution combines three different products — comprehensive bill payments, software-enabled corporate cards and employee expense reimbursements. The company supports those things through advanced approval workflows and real-time reporting.

“Developing deep and fully automated integrations with accounting and workplace software is one of the many things that differentiates Airbase from its competitors. QuickBooks Desktop is one more example of our commitment to creating an excellent user experience for all small to mid-market companies,” said Airbase Founder and CEO Thejo Kote.

Kote added that a lack of vendors integrating with QuickBooks Desktop “has left QuickBooks Desktop customers having to make do with workarounds, homegrown solutions, and import/export headaches. We think it’s time that changed.”

Airbase also recently rolled out a feature called Bill Payments+, a spend management platform allowing a separate subset of its accounts payable offering.

Those who use Bill Payments+ will also get some access to Airbase’s staffer reimbursement and corporate card services.

Airbase also announced in April that it would be supporting international bill payments for over 200 countries and 145 currencies. Airbase’s reasoning there was because as companies expand, they have to pay international suppliers.
