Funding Circle Debuts BNPL FlexiPay Option

Small business loan platform Funding Circle announced the debut of its first payments facility, FlexiPay, in a Thursday (Sept. 2) press release.

FlexiPay allows businesses to make installment payments over three months for any U.K. invoice or supplier payment, according to the release, joining the increasing number of buy now pay later options. Businesses can apply within minutes and receive authorization for 2,000 pounds ($2,766) to 30,000 pounds ($41,470).

Plate IQ Automates Restaurants’ Back-of-House Operations to Save Time, Cut Costs

Plate IQ recently announced a partnership with food service procurement and supply chain solution Foodbuy Foodservice that will allow Plate IQ’s restaurant customers to utilize the procurement solution’s Manufacturer Rebate Program, to orchestrate group purchases to earn bulk discounts from manufacturers and suppliers.

Where Foodbuy Foodservice provides restaurants with rebates and discounts, Plate IQ provides them transparency into pricing when they are purchasing ingredients. The accounts payable provider’s restaurant partners include McDonald’s, Burger King, Au Bon Pain and Nobu, among others.

Work-from-Home Trend Pressures SMBs To Improve ‘Out Of Control’ Spend Management

CFOs and their teams have had to adjust to remote work — which means conducting spend management from far-flung locations, Aneal Vallurupalli, chief financial officer of Airbase, told PYMNTS.

Vallurupalli said the shift to remote work has forced smaller firms to take “a deeper look” at the systems that are in place — and find out where the pain points lie.

Centerbase Buys Family Law Software to Support Law Firms

Legal practice management software company Centerbase has acquired family law workflow software company Family Law Software, according to a press release on Wednesday (Sept. 1).

The acquisition expands Centerbase’s practice management, billing and accounting software platform for family practice attorneys.
