The program — which launched Tuesday (Oct. 4) in six cities — enables Gopuff to reach more customers and allows Grubhub to offer additional products, such as grocery, alcohol, health and wellness, household, pet, baby and other convenience items. Orders placed on Grubhub’s marketplace are fulfilled and delivered by Gopuff’s logistics network, according to a Tuesday press release.

It now includes select Gopuff locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and Austin, and is to expand to include more than 500 locations across the country in the coming weeks, the release stated.

“We’re excited to partner with Gopuff to give our diners more choice than ever before,” Grubhub Senior Vice President of Growth Ariella Kurshan said in the release. “Our diners are managing busy schedules with competing priorities, and they want to plan not only their meals but also their lifestyle.”

Thousands of products will be available from Gopuff locations and delivered by its network. Among them are alcohol in some cities and virtual concepts such as Gopuff’s The Mean Tomato pizza brand, according to the press release.

“Expanding Gopuff’s platform allows us to meet consumers’ immediate needs anywhere they shop,” Gopuff Senior Vice President of Business Daniel Folkman said in the release. “By combining our broad assortment, logistics network and infrastructure with the virtual storefronts of Grubhub, we can create more seamless one-stop shopping experiences for Gopuff’s unparalleled one-stop shopping experience.”
