Although the purchase price was not revealed, Episerver said it plans to integrate Optivo’s clients with its own services and platform, including email and SMS.

Episerver said it plans to maintain Optivo as a separate and independent company and will also use the company to provide infrastructure as Episerver expands across Europe. Optivo Managing Directors Rainer Brosch and Thomas Diezmann will remain in their current roles, according to Internet Retailer.

“Completing the picture, Episerver’s content management, commerce, social and mobile marketing strengths will combine with Optivo to truly enable omnichannel immersive experiences,” Episerver said on its website announcing the acquisition.

Episerver provides software for social and eCommerce sites and counts Reebok, Pizza Hut, QVC and Bosch among its clients.

Episerver also recently acquired Peerius, an omnichannel personalization vendor that uses machine learning to provide clients with predictive analytics.
