Google Wallet Website Gets Instant

Good news for anyone looking to shave off some precious seconds from person-to-person cash transfers. 9to5Google reported that Google Wallet has revamped its website, allowing instant transfers between connected bank accounts.

The site now has a leg-up on competitor PayPal. There’s no need to “cash out,” as it were. The site also allows web transfers to and from Android and iOS devices.

The Google Wallet mobile app has had the capacity for instant transfers since the summer. But still, increasing the number of the program’s device options is generally a bonus in the eyes of consumers, especially for that one time your phone is out of commission and you owe your stingy friend for samosas and lassi.

Google Wallet was originally meant to be Google’s source for NFC payments. Android Pay ended up taking the reigns in that department.
