SmartServe Designs Smartwatch To Improve Restaurant Service

SmartServe has designed a unique iOS and Android smartwatch to help restaurants improve their overall service.

According to Geeky Gadgets, the multi-task waiter app was launched via Kickstarter with the goal of raising £25,000 over the next 30 days. It is the first Android/iOS smartwatch with walkie-talkie function integrated and more and has been shortlisted for the Restaurant Tech Innovation Award 2017.

A video on the Kickstarter page explains that the watch can help restaurants boost revenue by cutting down on a guest’s wait time when receiving their meal. Since repeat customers account for 30 percent of revenue, waiters and restaurant owners want to make sure customers are served in a timely manner. And simply increasing that by 5 percent can help boost revenue by 125 percent.

Customers are able to scan a QR code on the table to gain full access to the menu and then place their orders directly to the kitchen. They can also track their order’s progress, choose payment and give an instant review — and call their waiter if needed.

Restaurants can easily review orders, performance, payments and management. The project will be funded only if it reaches its goal by June 19.
