    Inspire supports thousands of businesses in the U.K., according to a Thursday (May 12) press release. Under the agreement, it will be equipped with technology to expand its customer base and offer payment tools that are customized for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). 

    Launched in 2019 in Leeds, England, Inspire has a workforce topping 150 people and is part of the Verastar Group, which serves more than 160,000 small businesses with essential services like energy, water, telecoms, insurance and payment processing.

    Per the release, Inspire Payments will offer Ingenico’s Move and Desk payment terminals and offer customers countertop and mobile solutions. In addition, Inspire will provide “wrap-around services” that include help desk support and repairs.

    Jonathan Bowl, interim managing director of Inspire Payments, said that Ingenico will support Inspire Payments with the “latest in payments innovation” and will also offer guidance.

    “Our terminals will provide their merchants with the quality, stability and support they need to deliver seamless payments,” Bowl said in the release.

    Inspire Payments serves SMBs across the U.K. and aims to understand the individual payment requirements of each merchant, per the release.

Now, working in partnership with Ingenico, our customers will not only benefit from their technology but also a suite of essential services to ensure the best payment experience,” said Martin Doherty, head of terminals, solutions and services for Northern Europe at Ingenico.
