Specifically, Kore executives plan to discuss new back office integration capabilities, which offer accurate data analytics to manage inventory and pricing. The updates will also include use of omnichannel support, client lead generation, and other tools integrated into its content management system.

“The hybrid architecture of KommerceServer provides distributors and manufacturers with a flexible and scalable website to connect with their customers,” said Ken Dickinson, co-founder and managing partner of Kore Technologies. “Our solution gives the B2B shopper a B2C-like experience, which seems to be a growing expectation in the B2B world.”

Dickinson is right. Industry experts find that B2B suppliers and manufacturers must begin to interact with potential business buyers in similar ways they would as a B2C corporation. That includes offering a personal shopping experience and easy-to-use online interfaces that support easy product research and checkout capabilities.

Emerging research supports this drive for a B2C-like B2B shopping experience. In fact, studies have shown that procurement officials will often abandon shopping carts and supplier Web pages altogether if the resources do not meet the buyers’ needs.
