Uber Has Ugly Christmas Sweaters On Demand

Is there anything Uber won’t deliver? Food, kittens, ice cream cones and, most notably, groups of drunken millennials on any given Saturday night have all made the list in the past.

And, as of yesterday (Dec. 10), you can now add ugly holiday sweaters.

In a limited holiday promotion that ran for four hours (from 1–5 p.m.) yesterday, customers in Chicago, Nashville, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, Madison and Ann Arbor could have ugly holiday sweaters delivered to their doorstep by the driving app.

The partnership between Uber and ironic holiday clothier Tipsy Elves made a collection of sweaters, recently seen being worn by Seth Rogen, Anthony Mackie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the holiday release “The Night Before” but have also been seen on the celebrity bods of Jimmy Fallon, Kaley Cuoco, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

The promotion was launched with a push notification to customers that contained a secret code to unlock the UberELVES option, making the sweaters only a button push (plus a $10 delivery fee) away.

And it’s just like Uber to be right on time: National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day is right around the corner on Dec. 18.
