Telecommunications operator Bharti Airtel recenylu launched a mobile wallet service in India. Called “Airtel Money,” the service allows users to make payments and transfer money across the country, according to Business Standard, a publication headquartered in India.
The national launch follows a pilot program begun in 2011, in which service was tested by customers in Delhi NCR and Chennai, Business Standard says. Additional information is available at Business Standard’s website.
