As Square continues to dominate the mobile payments sphere in the United States, a trio in Germany is looking to pull together a similar solution, according to a report by TechCrunch.
The rumor mill hints that Rocket Internet, run by brothers Mac, Oliver and Alexander Samwer, is developing its own Square clone named “Zenpay.” While details are scarce, the company did reveal that it plans to launch the payments tool globally.

And this is not Rocket Internet’s first foray into the cloning sphere. The company also launched CityDeal, a Groupon look-a-like, which eventually sold to the U.S.-based daily deals giant.
