As Cash Use Grows, Euronet Deploys Intracontinental Deposit Network

Euronet Worldwide says it has deployed the first Independent and Shared Automated Deposit Terminal (ADT) Network for Europe. The network lets bank customers deposit cash at any Euronet deposit terminal in their respective country.

    Alior Bank, Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. (Citi Group), Bank Pocztowy S.A. (Post Bank) in Poland, and Citibank Europe plc. in Romania are among the banks participating in the ADT Network, an official statement says.

    In announcing the new deposit terminal network, Euronet pointed to an interesting statistic about cash use in Europe: according to the European Central bank, the use of cash has grown by 3.6 percent annually, the release says.
