The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau published its proposal for a new rule that would guide its regulation of nonbank entities “that may have engaged in activities that pose risks to consumers.”
The proposed rule includes a provision for notifying nonbanks that they have been put on watch by the CFPB, a release explains.
